More changes are on the way this week, as our next storm system approaches Arizona.
This system could have an influence on New Year’s travel and holiday activities throughout the Valley.
Expect gusty winds, colder temperatures, and showers statewide.
Rain chances increase Wednesday night and persist until Thursday morning. Some Valley areas could receive a quarter inch of rain, with higher amounts likely in northern Arizona.
This system’s snow levels remain very high, ranging between 9,000 and 10,000 feet, so Flagstaff is anticipated to see just rain late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Cooler air follows the storm. On New Year’s Day, valley highs fall into the upper 60s. Morning lows fall into the low to mid-50s by the end of the weekend.
