Syracuse Woman Sentenced for Meth Possession

NEBRASKA CITY — Kellie Bassinger, 31, of Syracuse, was sentenced to six to 12 years in prison for possession of over 28 grams of methamphetamine on January 16. She also received four to eight years for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

The Nebraska State Patrol obtained search warrants for a camper at Second and Mohawk streets and a residence on Fifth Street. Bassinger and 41-year-old Brian Werner were arrested after officers discovered 186 grams of meth and a semi-automatic handgun.

Werner was previously sentenced on September 15 to six to 12 years for possession of more than 10 grams of meth and four to eight years for delivery.
