Three Arrested in Little Havana Home Invasion, Victims Zip-Tied

MIAMI — Miami police have arrested three men accused of a home invasion robbery in Little Havana.

The suspects—Augustin Hernandez, 46; Rogelio Espina, 54; and Yoamil Napoles, 50—were taken into custody Monday after allegedly forcing their way into a home on the 3100 block of Southwest Eighth Street around 10 p.m.

According to police reports, the suspects zip-tied a man and a woman and coerced one of them to open a black safe containing approximately $400 in cash. The victims sustained minor injuries during the incident.

Officers say the home was ransacked, and the suspects were still inside when police arrived.

Two of the suspects are listed as homeless, while the third is unemployed. In court, they appeared with the assistance of a Spanish translator and were ordered not to have contact with the victims.

The men now face charges including battery, home invasion robbery, and kidnapping. One victim told Local 10 News she is terrified and hopes the suspects are sent to prison.
