Two Florida teenagers charged with premeditated murder of 14-year-old

FLORIDA — Two teenagers from Pace have been charged with premeditated murder in the death of 14-year-old Danica Troy, whose body was found in a wooded area earlier this week, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office (SRCSO).

Troy was reported missing by her mother on Monday. Investigators later determined she had been killed the night before. Her body was discovered Tuesday in a wooded area off Kimberly Road with multiple gunshot wounds and signs of burning, officials said.

The sheriff’s office identified the suspects as 16-year-old Gabriel Williams and 14-year-old Kimahri Blevins. Deputies said the pair lured Troy into the woods, where she was shot and her body set on fire.

According to Sheriff Bob Johnson, Williams used a handgun stolen from his mother to carry out the shooting. Both teens were arrested and now face charges of premeditated murder as the investigation continues.
