COLUMBUS, Miss. — A call for help at a hospital led to the arrest of two women.
Raven Porter, 32, and Zeporah Carr, 40, were both charged with robbery.
Columbus police said officers were called to Baptist Golden Triangle over the weekend after Carr arrived with injuries. She initially claimed that Tyrone Wilson had assaulted her.
After speaking with Wilson, investigators determined a different story. Authorities believe Porter and Carr assaulted Wilson and took his wallet and cell phone, classifying the incident as a strong-arm robbery.
Wilson defended himself using a pair of large hand pliers, injuring the women.
Porter and Carr remain in jail.
