UPDATE: Victim identified in deadly Moline crash

MOLINE, Ill. — The victim of a traffic crash in Moline has been identified as Kaytlyn Hill, 33, of Moline, Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson confirmed. The incident remains under investigation by the Moline Police Department and the Rock Island County Coroner’s Office.

The crash occurred on November 30 around 1:10 p.m. in the 3600 block of 41st Street. According to the Moline Police Department, Hill was driving a 2017 Chevy Spark and had stopped facing south on 41st Street, preparing to turn right into an apartment complex.

A 2013 Ford F350, driven by a 46-year-old Moline man, was also traveling southbound and rear-ended Hill’s vehicle. Hill suffered serious injuries and was later pronounced dead. A small child was in the Ford, and neither occupant was injured.

Traffic was closed for about three hours while crash reconstruction investigators processed the scene.

Officials said preliminary findings indicate that road conditions were not a factor and the roadway was clear of snow. Further accident reconstruction is ongoing.
