Woman Injured After SUV Rolls Over in Miami-Dade Hit-and-Run Crash

A woman was taken to the hospital after the SUV she was driving rolled over and landed on its side following a hit-and-run crash in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 6:15 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Northwest 16th Avenue and 119th Street.

Multiple Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene. A preliminary investigation found that another vehicle struck the SUV, causing the driver to hit a pole.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the woman to the hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

According to the sheriff’s office, the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene and did not call 911.

Aerial footage showed the SUV resting on its left side on the grass outside the Alhambra Cove Apartments. Crews later righted the vehicle and towed it away with airbags deployed. One of the SUV’s tires was left behind at the scene.
