Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez Announces Zero Tolerance Policy and Countywide Audit of All Disabled and Temporary Disabled Parking Permit Applications

Effective immediately, the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office has launched a full countywide audit of every disabled parking permit and temporary disabled parking permit application filed over the last 24 months.

Florida law authorizes the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) and its agents, including the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office, to issue, regulate, audit, and revoke these permits when fraud or abuse occurs.
