Lois L. Bettendorf, 89 of Elgin, NE passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Saunders House Assisted Living in Wahoo, NE.
Gerald “Gary” Henry Scholl passed away peacefully on October 5, 2023, with his family by his side. Gary was born on September 12, 1936, in Elgin, Nebraska, where he lived most of his life. His parents immigrated from Germany in the early 1930s and settled in Boone County, Nebraska alongside other German families whose skills were needed to farm the land and build the surrounding communities.
Percy W. Payne, 91, of Elgin, NE, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh, NE.
Funeral services for Lois Rose Kumm, age 87, of Brunswick were held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 6th at the Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview. Officiating the service was Pastor Scott Kirchoff. Interment followed at the Brunswick Cemetery.
Graveside Service for Leon W. Whitney Age 53 of Neligh, Nebraska will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2023 at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 6, 2023 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh.

A private family graveside service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Elgin, with Rev. John Norman officiating.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2023 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin, with the Rev. John Norman officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. Thursday at the church, with a 7 p.m. wake service.
